Why hire Mama Marucci’s and why did Mama Marucci’s reopen?

 The short answer…

It’s our response to Covid.

At the start of the pandemic, we were all encouraged to patronize our local restaurants by having food brought to us via courier or to have curbside pickup.

However, the fees associated with these services are outrageous and by the time the food is at your door, even when you pick it up, it’s less than acceptable, cold and old.

When the restaurants reopened we were very happy that we could at least go out to enjoy a meal, even if it meant sitting outside.

However, what we found was that in general, these places felt dirty, the service was terrible and the value for food was severely lacking. It was as if they were doing us a favor by serving cold food, in a dirty setting with high prices and a frown. We were done!

In addition, some businesses did/do not care about crowd size. Do you want the virus? Even with the vaccine, I don’t think anyone wants to get Covid.

 Will this all go away with time? I think it will when Covid becomes Endemic. But with the variants slowly creeping into the country and complicating the recovery effort I think we are still a long way from being anything close to normal.

With that said, Mama Marucci’s has changed the way we do business. We are a cross between a restaurant, a catering company and a private chef service. You select the items you want from our menu. If you check us out for reviews online you will find that the only review of fewer than five stars on Yelp came after we had closed our doors in 2015 and the person who called could not get hold of us. Other than that we had nothing but five-star reviews.
