In literally every restaurant we have been to the cannoli shells they use are pre-made and commercially manufactured. To add insult to injury they are also pre-filled by the restaurant, instead of to order which they should be.
If that is not bad enough, not only do they cause a mess when you try and bite into them, but a lot of the times the shell is too old and hard and the filling made with heavy second-class ingredients.
